Local Hazard Mitigation Plan

The City of Peabody is currently working on updating our Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP).

The LHMP is a critical document in preparing the City for natural disasters. An updated Hazard Mitigation plan assists the City in reducing disaster damage and preventing the loss of life and property. The LHMP prioritizes a community supported mitigation strategy that represents the current needs and values of the community.

An updated LHMP builds and supports climate resilience, develops risk-informed decision making, and is the foundation for making critical investments in hazard mitigation.

We need your local knowledge!
Please let us know where natural hazards are present or occur in your neighborhood. Using the provided map for reference, please email project contact (listed below) to email areas in the City of natural hazards that are not listed on the map. Please either mark up the map, screen shot, and forward back, or in text form provide a clear description of the hazard effecting your neighborhood.
